Project Launching Workshop

On #January 2, 2024, the #Parkinson‘s Patient Support Organization Ethiopia conducted an exceptionally successful workshop, marking the launch of its latest project focused on raising awareness and building capacity for #Parkinson‘s disease. This momentous event witnessed active participation from a diverse group of stakeholders, including the #Ministry_of_Health, #Kenema_Pharmacy, the #Ethiopian_Neurologist_Association, #Care_Epilepsy, the #Ethiopian_Physiotherapy_Association, and various media institutions.
The newly introduced program is poised to make a substantial impact by enhancing the quality of life for #Parkinson‘s patients and their caregivers. With a primary focus on Addis Ababa, the initiative also extends its outreach to four key regions across Ethiopia, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive and widespread support.
During the workshop, a crucial space was dedicated to patients and caregivers, allowing them to actively engage by sharing their personal experiences. This interactive platform provided an opportunity for participants to articulate their hopes and aspirations for the recently launched program. Their firsthand accounts not only added a poignant and human touch to the proceedings but also underscored the genuine impact and significance of this initiative in addressing the challenges posed by #Parkinson‘s disease.
