Specialized training has been provided for health extension workers by the PPSOE.
The focus of this training was to educate health extension workers about Parkinson’s disease, including its nature, symptoms, care, and medical procedures. Dr. Dereje, a senior neurologist at Black Lion Hospital, meticulously prepared and delivered this specialized training. The program saw active participation from over 60 health extension workers, who engaged by posing various questions, all of which were addressed by the neurologists.
During the event, Mrs Kibra Kebede, the founder of the organization, emphasized in her remarks the pivotal role these health extension workers play in the lives of Parkinson’s patients. She urged them to effectively implement the lessons they learned during the training session, highlighting the importance of their contribution to patient care and well-being.
