PPSO-E has focused on the following programmatic areas;

• Awareness Rising Component ( through all possible media intervention; FM radio, TV, workshops, events, PD patients experience sharing, information, communication education(IEC) materials
• Capacity Building Component (Training Patients on Parkinson disease management, Physiotherapy for patients, speech therapy for patients, empowerment training for caregiver and health extension workers how to identify PD patients, enable health journalist how to broadcast PD issues,
• Care and Support Component ( Home care service, Medical Service, Toilet Construction, Daily subsistence support like; clothing, sticks , wheelchair, Holy day support, Consultation service.
• Geographical Coverage

Currently the association is working in Addis Ababa with a possibility of extension to cities all over the country.

Beside of the wider community awareness, government policies and strategy and the funding opportunity calls launching by the donors are very tights compared to other intervention than a commitment made in response to Parkinson’s disease, PD patients and their caregivers. Likewise, the burden of the diseases and the number of PD cases are increasing from time to time that need additional efforts and all-inclusive concerned party’s engagement. But, PPSO-E is still exposed to encore expenses for office rent (that might able to response extra PD patients care and support matters) that to be needed for program expand its service and reach PD patients in Addis Ababa and all over the country.
